The Rural Media Company Board of Trustees announced last week that it has appointed Adrian Lambert as Artistic Director of the Hereford based digital production and education charity. This is a newly created post which follows a two month review and re-organisation of the company.
Adrian, who has a theatre and TV background, joined Rural Media from the BBC in 2002 and has been the driving force behind many of the charity’s award-winning productions and community projects.
“It’s a huge thrill to be given this role,” said Adrian. “We have some fantastic projects currently in production and in development and I’m looking forward to driving Rural Media’s work to new heights.”
The appointment comes at an exciting time for Rural Media which has recently been awarded two major grants from the Arts Council (Catalyst and Grants for the Arts) and grant aid from Lloyds TSB to support its work over the coming two years with vulnerable young people in Herefordshire.
“I am delighted that Adrian has agreed to take up this new post,” said Rural Media’s CEO Nic Millington. “As competition for funding in the voluntary sector intensifies it is vital that innovation and high quality outputs and outcomes are maintained.”
