Live@Chapel: a ten-day festival of words and music, broadcast live from Seacroft Methodist Chapel 15-24th June

live-at-chapel-badge

The concept is simple; bring together 500 of the best storytellers, musicians, poets, DJs, writers, school-children, actors, comedians and singers and offer them a chance to create brand new live material in a beautiful old Methodist Chapel in East Leeds: a Chapel that ELFM is planning to renovate in 2013 to create the first-ever dedicated arts venue in East Leeds.

The full programme is now published (for a pdf version go to http://bit.ly/LfFHne
It includes a 24-hour live dj set; a readathon (of the book The Plot by Madeleine Bunting); a night with poet Jon Hegley; Chuckle in the Chapel comedy night; a live radio drama about the Titanic with string quartet… and all finished off with ELFM’s infamous musicathon (this year rebranded the Music Marathon– a truly marathanonal 26 hours 13 minutes and 8 seconds of non-stop, live music brought to you by some 300 musicians).
