Fundraiser Job Opportunites at the Rural Media Company

The Rural Media Company has two exciting opportunities for fundraisers and bid writers to secure additional funding for our creative programme with rural communities. We have a part time Development Officer (Maternity cover) position offered initially on a 6 month contract £18-£26k (pro rata) dependant on experience and a part time fundraising position offered initially on a 12 month contract £24,500k-£28k (pro rata) dependant on experience.

We aim to raise funds for a variety of projects, in turn these projects attract a variety different grants – from lottery grants of over £300k to smaller local grants at £5k plus.

To ensure the fundraising programme is successful the Fundraiser and Development Officer’s duties will include preparing new and imaginative grant applications, developing proposals for projects that could attract new funding, writing funders’ reports and exploring potential new ways of raising funds including donor programmes and philanthropic giving.

In addition to developing and drafting bids, the Fundraiser and Development Officer will organise various bid teams and guarantee that bids are scheduled within manageable time scales.

The successful applicants will have experience of researching and approaching National Lottery distributors, trusts and foundations, writing applications and editing documents. A great team player and passionate about delivering high quality services, you will have a non-judgemental approach and will take pride in delivering results. Additionally you will have an editor’s eye for detail and possess strong IT and writing skills.
